Official welcome for the guests of MS Viking Atla in Melk
Wachau welcome for the guests of MS Viking Atla in Melk
On September 12th, 2014 the newest cruise liner of the leading ship operator Viking River Cruises has been well received in Melk with traditional costumed children, flower decoration and local delicacies. Prior to visiting the Abbey Melk, all passengers received a souvenir from Bernhard Schröder (Danube Tourism Lower Austria) and Stefan Bauer (Lower Austria Tourist Board).
Birgit Brandner-Wallner, owner of the Donau Schiffsstationen GmbH and godmother of MS Viking Atla, was proud to condignly welcome “her ship” in Lower Austria. “Efficient and attractive Danube Stations are the pre-condition for a safe and friendly welcome of the guests”, Birgit Brandner-Wallner feels confirmed because of all the positive feedback from her customers like Viking.
Last year the gigantic ceremonial christening of 10 Viking ships – including MS Viking Atla – was registered in the Guinness Book of Records.
The ship is one of 155 luxury cruise liners along the Danube and will now frequently pass the Danube from Amsterdam to Budapest.
