Ship christening in Melk

The elegant CELINA joined the nicko cruises fleet at the beginning of this season.

Last weekend, the ship was christened in glorious sunshine and against the impressive backdrop of the baroque Melk Abbey. The festive ceremony took place in an exclusive setting, accompanied by the cruise guests traveling on board, representatives of the shipping company River Advice and nicko cruises as well as local partners and the press. A particularly emotional moment of the ceremony was the christening by eleven-year-old namesake Celina. She is the daughter of Birgit Bejan, who has been working for nicko cruises for 20 years and is responsible for the Danube fleet as Regional Operation Manager.
