The christening of the AmaSofia in Amsterdam

DonauStationen was invited to the christening ceremony of the new flagship, the AmaSofia, belonging to the American cruise line AmaWaterways, in Amsterdam.

The extremely successful five-star shipping company was founded by the Austrian Rudi Schreiner. By now, AmaWaterways operates a fleet of numerous river cruise ships on the world's most important waterways.
On the occasion of the ASTA Expo, an impressive scene unfolded in the Port of Amsterdam: more than 15 river cruise ships were anchored simultaneously, creating an impressive backdrop for the international guests.
A special highlight of the evening was a spectacular drone show over the Port of Amsterdam, which effectively showcased the christening of the new AmaSofia.
